Fugu - A type of sushi or sashimi served mostly in Japan and made from the infamous Puffer fish. The Puffer fish’s organs and skin contain one of the most powerful poisons found in nature. Yet people still eat it lol. A chef must go through a strict certification process to be licensed to prepare it. Because carelessness can leave their patrons dead.
Ingesting the poison can lead to paralysis and respiratory failure- not a fun way to go. But I’ve heard if prepared properly, it’s delicious!
